Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play a very important role at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School. Volunteers may assist in classrooms or in the library, act as chaperones on class trips and excursions, assist with preparing hot lunches, or become involved with activities planned by the Catholic School Council, which is also made up volunteers. Volunteers also assist children with reading and other classroom activities.

Criminal Records Check/Vulnerable Sector Check

All volunteers must submit a Criminal Records Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check as required by the School Board.

• 1. Interested volunteers must complete their Police  Records Check online.  Please call the office first to request a 'Letter of Request' from the school firts.  You will upload this with your application online.  If you already have a documented Police Check with the school, you simply sign off on the  Annual Declaration form.  Please request this form from the school office.

  2.  Potential Volunteers must also complete a mandatory online Volunteer Module (approx 20mns).  Please call the office for instructions. 705-652-3961
